The exact instructions your agent follows. Connect SkillRune and ask it to run this skill, or have it read the playbook and work through the steps itself.
Build one sharp profile of a competitor: positioning, ads, traffic, and what
customers actually say. Target: a company domain (e.g. linear.app).
Positioning — web_read on their homepage and, if present, /pricing.
Extract: headline promise, target customer, pricing model, and the
differentiators they lead with.
Live ads — ads_library with the domain. For each ad, note the hook,
the offer, and the angle. Running many ad variants = they're actively buying
growth; zero ads is a signal too.
Traffic — traffic_estimate on the domain. Note total visits and the
channel split (organic vs. paid vs. direct tells you their growth engine).
Authority — backlinks on the domain (domainRank 0-1000, higher =
stronger) to gauge how defensible their organic position is.
Customer voice — reviews_scrape with the company name, and
social_search for recent mentions. Pull exact quotes: what people praise,
what they complain about, and the words they use for both.
Give it a target and watch it orchestrate its tools, step by step. You only pay for the tool calls it makes.
