The exact instructions your agent follows. Connect SkillRune and ask it to run this skill, or have it read the playbook and work through the steps itself.
Audit a domain's organic search presence and return a prioritized action plan.
Target: a domain (e.g. stripe.com). If given a full URL, use its domain.
Map the site — web_crawl with the domain. Note total page count and
URL patterns (blog? docs? landing pages?). A site with 20 pages and a site
with 5,000 have different SEO problems.
Understand what they do — web_read on the homepage. Extract: what the
product is, who it's for, and the 3-5 phrases they use to describe
themselves.
What do they already rank for? — keywords_site with the domain. This is
the ground truth: total keywords, estimated traffic, and their best terms with
positions. Compare it with step 2: if the phrases they lead with are nowhere
in this list, their positioning and their rankings disagree.
Check the brand SERP — serp_rank for the brand name. If they don't
control their own brand results, that's finding #1.
Keyword opportunity — keywords_ideas on their main non-brand phrase.
Look for high-volume, low-competition terms they have no page for; cross-check
against the ranked list from step 3 to find true gaps.
Who are they up against? — domain_competitors with the domain. Note who
shares their keywords and how much traffic those rivals pull.
Authority — backlinks on the domain (domainRank 0-1000, higher =
stronger). Under ~200 means they lose to almost anyone on competitive terms,
so favor long-tail recommendations. For a weak profile, add
backlinks_competitors to find realistic link targets.
Technical check — page_audit on the homepage and one key money page.
Report the failing checks that actually matter (missing title/description,
no h1, slow load, no canonical), not every flag.
Deliver a prioritized list (impact × effort), not a data dump:
Skip a step if its tool fails; say so in the report rather than guessing.
Give it a target and watch it orchestrate its tools, step by step. You only pay for the tool calls it makes.
